Main Theme/Intro: To Zanarkand, easily. Too gorgeous.

Dungeon/Field 1: Besaid Island is actually one of my favorite field themes from the whole series. It's so pretty and relaxing.

Village 1: I really like both, but I'm going with Ocean ~ Highnoon Fish.

Battle: Near Death Experience, pretty easily. I got so sick of FFX's battle theme in Dissidia (trust me, it's not suited to battles that take more than a couple minutes), and I've always loved NDE, it's an all-time fave for me.

Character: Yuna's Theme.

Boss Battle: China Ogre is one of my favorite boss battle themes ever.

Dungeon/Field 2: Calm Before the Storm is another huge favorite of mine. I like Blue Castle's theme a lot too, but I like Calm Before the Storm more.

Village 2: This is my preferred version of Callback from Jesus. It just sounds so pretty and mysterious.

Special Battle: Gotta be Battle with Seymour.

Dungeon/Field 3: I really, really like Main Theme Beat Arrange a lot, but ultimately I can't say no to Someday the Dream Will End. I just love that song too much. I think it's one of the best field themes in the FF series, which is saying something.

Final Dungeon: Not really a fan of either, but I'll go with Castle of the Lunatic Gods.

Final Battle: Imbroglio is interesting, but for me it lacks the raw emotional power that Summoned Beast Battle has in spades.

Ending Theme/Credits: Ending Theme ~ Shadow Hearts gets this one.

Wild Card: This category was just made for songs like Sign of Him - fuckawesome songs that don't really fit in any other category.

Final Battle: These songs annoy and bore me, respectively, and I refuse to listen to them any more to determine a winner. I'm giving it to The Obnoxious Beeping Sound Song from Shadow Hearts.

Ending Theme/Credits: Suteki da Ne ~ Orchestrated Version FFX

Wild Card: The Temple Surfaces ~ The Temple Surfaces ~ Sign of Him (Creation of God) Shadow Hearts

Duel 13

Shadow Hearts vs. FFX (sponsored by Luna)

Main Theme/Intro: To Zanarkand. Can you call that shitty SH song music? Seriously? TZ is one of the best FF tracks out there.

Dungeon/Field 1:   Besaid Island. Uh... again, what is this SH stuff?

Village 1:   The Sight of Spira ~ Besaid Village Theme. This was a close call actually.

Battle:   Battle Theme. I'm pretty tired of the song though.

Character:   Yuna's Theme. Alice is good though. Yuna is interesting because it's an old school, almost IV (or IX) sounding melody.

Boss Battle:   Enemy Attack. Still enjoy it.

Dungeon/Field 2:   Calm Before the Storm. I really thought SH was gonna take this until I opened the X track. Yeah, I enjoy this one too much.

Village 2: Mystery ~ Callback From Jesus . Way better; SH finally takes one!

Special Battle: Battle with Seymour. SH was good too though.

Dungeon/Field 3: Someday the Dream Will End. More Icaro= lose.

Final Dungeon: Castle of the Lunatic Gods III ~ Middle of Nowhere. X's SUCKS really bad and SH's song sounds like a true final dungeon theme. Kick ass!

Final Battle:  Summoned Beast Battle. FFX>>>>>>>>SH here. Everything just sounds epic.

Ending Theme/Credits: Ending Theme ~ Shadow Hearts vs. Suteki da Ne ~ Orchestrated Version. If there is one thing I've learned from these battles it's that SH has some amazing ending themes. That said, Suteki still wins. Such an awesome scene accompanied with it. SH might have had a chance if I played the game but still... I think X would have taken it.

Wild Card: Assault. It starts out boring but really picks up the pace 30 seconds in.

So yeah, FFX beat the crap out of SH this battle.

Currently Playing: Dark Cloud 2: 3 hours.
Also Playing: CT, FF VI, Solatorobo, Secret of Mana, Halo 4.
Just Finished: Fable II: 7 hours.

Dungeon/Field 3: Not the biggest fan of either, but I'm going with Imperial Garden.

While I did lean, rather heavily, to the VP side...several were pretty close. Another fun duel. =)

Duel 14

Star Ocean 3 vs. Valkyrie Profile 2 (sponsored by Luna)

Main Theme/Intro: The Dawn of Wisdom. I have so much love for this tune. I can't count with a dozen set of hands how many times I've listened to it before actually loading a game of SO3. VP's is awesome though.

Dungeon/Field 1: Disturb the Doubtful Sleep. I reallly like the SO track but I've grown tired of it. Piano solo takes it.

Village 1: Lively Step. Is it me or does the VP track sound like it belongs in FFT?
Battle: Cutting Edge of Notion. Even though I've heard SO's WAYYY more I still dig it.

Victory: Victory Bell. Pretty close though.

Boss Battle: Never Surrender. Not a huge fan of SO's actually.

Dungeon/Field 2: Fly Away in the Violet Sky . Nostalgia wins. Very similar songs.

Village 2: Calm Mind Reflected in the Pupil. Dude. I've just parked Fayt in town for this song 15 minutes at a time. Everything about Aquaria music is awesome. WSBE is purdy though.

Special Battle: Influence of Truth Appearance. VPs track has a freaking amazing guitar track though... I'm starting to doubt my choice here actually.

Dungeon/Field 3: Spinning the Thread of Creation. Uh.. again, similar sounding WOW. I got really tired of this SO track so by default VP gets it.

Final Dungeon: Ascend Into the True Faith. I don't remember this song at all but I really wish I did; pretty awesome.

Final Battle: Unrestrained Struggle. Honestly this is a stalemate but I'll be nice to VP. Both are decent FBs but neither stands out.

Ending Theme: A Little Bird Who Forgot How to Fly. I LOVE Little Bird so much. I was so upset when I found out it wasn't actually on the SO3 soundtrack. I love when a game uses a certain melody over and over in different songs (FF IX, CC, TotA, ToV, etc) when it's so catchy. This woman's got some strong vocals; she sings it live well too. I do love the haunting melody in VPs though; great use of a music box sound.

Wild Card: The Divine Spirit of Language. Spidey's gone so WILD CARD BITCHES!. Pitchy solo vs chugging guitars... I love this battle but SO3's is just more entertaining overall... plus nostalgia sake.

As I expected SO3 won hands down for me but that's not to say VPs music is bad; it's great. Nostalgia packs a punch too since I've played VP2 only once and SO3 5 times.
