Symphony of the Goddesses was great, but I'd pick an FF concert over Zelda, any day.

Too bad they'll never come to Phoenix.

Some of my friends that have been to Distant Worlds before said that the Symphony of the Goddesses is better than Distant Worlds ...but it really depends. I thought the concert was great, but because they did a lot of medleys, which I don't really like in general, I thought the concert was kinda meh, especially since half of the songs they used in the medleys were Ganondorf songs and whatnot ...however, I did enjoy the dungeon medley they did as well as the WW one and AlttP =P

I think Distant Worlds is going to be better just because I've looked into some parts that were done in other cities on Youtube and they don't seem to be medleys ...and Aria Di Mezzo Caraterre complete too heehee, but I guess that's just my preference

And ...Distant Worlds has been to Toronto AND Vancouver BEFORE Montreal in the past, I'm glad they're finally coming here ;_; they might have been reluctant until they got the Symphony of the Goddesses sales up though, because before that concert took place, there were no news about them coming to Montreal that I saw whatsoever

Here is the list song : http://www.ffdistantworlds.com/program

--FINAL FANTASY IV: Theme of Love--
I'm doing slowly my refresher and Ithe ff4 OST soundtrack has the most listening time : my favorite version of the crystal Song (or Prelude), the Main Theme, Fabul, Theme of Love, Tower of Babel, the cave song, anyway 50% of the soundtrack is golden, only the samples sounds dated. I cannot believe the only song there is Theme of Love.

--FINAL FANTASY VI: Dancing Mad, Opera "Maria and Draco", Terra's Theme, Dark World featuring soloists Nobuo Uematsu, keyboards, and Arnie Roth, violin--
Dancing Mad & the Opera are no brainers. Dark World seems an odd choice with all the other great tracks. I will definitely miss Forever Rachel & Phantom Forest. If there is one place there could have put a medley, it's the epilogue track of ff6 as the whole soundtrack is solid.

--FINAL FANTASY VII: One-Winged Angel, Opening - Bombing Mission, Aerith's Theme, Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII, JENOVA, Those Who Fight (Let the Battles Begin)
--
The 3 original orchestrated are there (One WInged Angel, Aeris, Main Theme).  The ff7 soundtrack has the most epic tracks but is truly less consistent. I consider it well covered :) The only exception is Anxious Heart, the most haunting song made by Square.

Anyway, end of rant here. I don't care enough about ff8 & ff9 to be sentimental about their track selection. And I hate medley too except maybe for finale.

The King's orders are absolute

I'll be there four rows from the stage. I'm looking forward to seeing all the extra stuff that'll be going on in the lobby before the show as well, the expanded merchandise, FF-themed photo booth, Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth performing Dark World from FFVI (among other things) in the lobby around 6:40. I'm really looking forward to Battle with the Four Fiends and the FFV Main Theme, not to mention finding out what they changed in the Opera from FFVI for The Celebration. It's going to be an awesome night.

Let's Play Chrono Trigger
Let's Play The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past
Let's Play Final Fantasy VI

In case anyone is interested, they're coming back to Montreal on December 7 of this year =P I'm thinking of going again! Though it seems like Nobuo Uematsu won't be there this time for the VIP meeting thing ...
