Wolverine Origins takes place in 1979, roughly 6 years after DOFP.

Well you're right, there's still some bad casting there.

Danny Hueston played Stryker in Wolverine Origins, he was 47 at the time. If that was set in 1979, then he would have been 40 during Days of Future Past. But the actor who played him in DOFP was 28.

To be perfectly honest though, I think people are nitpicking too much.

I think they're just ignoring most if not all of Origins

Most likely since he should have been fighting in Vietnam with SabreTooth in 1973. Also it's never explaned how much pre bullet to the head memory he got back.  If he didn't he shouldn't have remembered the girl or 'Jimmy'.

As I mentioned, DOFP was set in 1973, Origins in 1979. He got the bullet in the head 6 years later.

I keep getting mixed answers was Origins in the beginning when Wolverine and Sabertooth were to be executed in 1973 or 1975?

DOFP 1973.
Wolverine Origins 1973-75.
Wovlerine Origins 1979.

Well either way Origins did different things with Quicksilver and Emma Frost that have since been reversed.

Yes which means he wouldn't have remembered 1973, unless he did get Total Recall.

It's a fair point, but he also had 50 years to recover those memories.

I was more bothered by his grey hair frankly.

I hated the JFK stuff the more I think about the movie.  Why would Charles not know during the Cerebro time in First Class?  Why get the standing President to aid our cause when we can get useful people like Darwin or Angel????

You know, Rogue's cut scene sounds quite fun.

https://www.avclub.com/article/heres-rogues-x-men-days-future-past-subplot-and-wh-205224?utm_source=Twitter&;utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_campaign=Default:1:Default

Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
Rogue??s appearance in the film was reshaped several times during post-production. In the film, Wolverine inadvertently hurts Kitty Pryde and weakens her time travel abilities, putting the heroes?? plan in jeopardy. In the final cut, Kitty simply powers through her injury, but in the initial script, Rogue was brought in to absorb Kitty??s power and keep Wolverine??s consciousness in the past. In one cut of the film, Professor X, Magneto, and Iceman went on a lengthy mission to rescue Rogue from the Sentinels and bring her back to save the day. Kinberg claims he wanted to give Professor X and Magneto ??one final adventure? mostly because ??it would be a cool thing to see, because we may never see it again.?

Nelfichu
I've been there, hombre.

^Damn, that better get on the DVD. I was wondering why Rogue was one of the top 5 or 10 people billed in the credits when she didn't even have a single line.

Ahh, just read the article, and it looks like it should make it on the disc. Cool.
