Which FF game do you think was the easiest?

It all ends with beginnings...

I just beat FFII for the first time a few days ago and I thought, this was by far the easiest FF I've ever played. Granted I died quite suddenly in a few spots when I ventured farther than I was suppose to. However, I never grinded for stats. I never got lost. And while the final fight was long because I never took time to develop my magic, I made it through fairly easy. I can't think of any other FF I just breezed through as easily as this one.

For some reason, I've always considered FFVII to be the easiest in the mainline FFs. I am excluding the WEAPONS.

Voted FFIX but meant to pick VIII.

Runner up being FFT Chapter 4 for starting it by giving you the single most overpowered character in any game for free.

I have to answer this a few ways, In terms of all the knowledge I have now: VI is the easiest. In terms of first playthrough how I did it: VIII was the easiest. In terms of how someone playing blind (no guide and new to them) I'd say X is the easiest.

Currently Playing: Dark Cloud 2: 3 hours.
Also Playing: CT, FF VI, Solatorobo, Secret of Mana, Halo 4.
Just Finished: Fable II: 7 hours.

In terms of my first playthrough of a game IX was the easiest. The only two bosses I ever had trouble with were Master Gizamulke (fuck that guy) and the Antlion (fuck that thing). The rest of the game I was deliberately holding back on just so I had time to steal with Zidane.

Tossup between VII and VIII for different reasons. VIII is ridiculously easy once you learn how to game the system, but VII is easier out of the gate.

FFIV Advanced is quite possibly one of the easiest games ever made. But beyond that, I tend to think most of VII or all of VIII is stupid easy.

IX.

I had troubles with VII on my first playthrough, particularly the Materia Keeper and Demon Wall.

VIII is easy to abuse now, but I think the first time I played through, I had a hell of a time with the Propagators and that whole extra difficult dungeon.

Nah the first playthrough is easy enough as it is. Drawing can easily over power your characters.

The first time you played VIII it wasn't that easy though. I think for first playthrough X has everything beat.
