I love the moron trying to defend Square by saying there's a double standard of Square Enix vs. Blizzard and Valve.

Problem is that Blizzard and Valve get away with it because they have histories of quality game making and being too perfectionist for their own good while Square Enix's problems scream of total incompetence. If Square Enix still made games of the same quality of their SNES or even PS1 efforts, I'm sure more people would be willing to give them a free pass.

Take Portal 2 for example.

It was officially announced in March of 2010 and released 13 months later. While not the same type/depth of game, it's still better than anything SEX has released since FFX... hell, maybe since the PSX FF days.

When you don't waste time, good things happen.

I think when they mention that, they're most likely referring to the 12 year gap between Starcraft 1 and 2, and that we haven't seen anything on the Half-Life scene for 5 years. However, I can't see the comparison because because Starcraft 2 wasn't announce till 2007, so there was only a 3 year gap between announcement and release, and there hasn't been an announcement for Half-Life 2 Episode 3 or just Half-Life 3 yet as far as I know.
