Is it just me, or might this USA men's hoops team be the most unlikable bunch ever? As in even worse than 2004?

Needless to say, I'm far more interested in swimming, gymnastics and track and field. Hell, throw beach volleyball and (gasp!) even women's basketball into the mix.

It's pretty hard to dislike Kevin Durant.

That opening was crazy. Needed more Doctor Who, though. Matt Smith should have been there, bowtie and all.

I didn't get to see the ceremony, but sounds like I was fun, light hearted and didn't take itself too seriously. So basically the exact opposite of Beijing, which I thought was ethnocentric and overly-nationalist in a creepy way.

Oh yes, This opening Ceremony was fantastic! The Mary Poppins, the cyclist doves, the torch, and even "The Queen looks on Proudly" *picks nails* LOL

The Independent Olympians were practically dancing down the path during the parade.

But when was there Doctor Whos running around, I heard a TARDIS when it went from the 70's music to the 80's, but I had to leave the room.

No, no doctor appearance though like you I heard the TARDIS.

A friend tells me there may be hope for the closing ceremony in that regard
