We saw it tonight, as per usual, we weren't disapointed because we weren't expecting top-notch anything other than special effects, music, etc., usually these types of movies don't make much sense and the crews always make mistakes, because if everything is done according to the utmost safety of everyone, if no one ever follows the suspicious voice calling them, if no one ever opens a suspicious container, etc., etc., then, there's no movie. So we weren't bothered about something that will inevitably happen, at least in these 'we are isolated and we'll die one by one" kind of movies.
We came out with questions, of course, Spoiler: Move your mouse over the container to reveal.
the main question was how did anyone get into a mission on an unkown moon two years whatever away from Earth without having the foggiest idea what they are getting into, nevermind how high the hazard pay is, my main question was why was the goo sipping out of the containers at a lattertime, when they seemed to be pretty well contained before, and my husband's was what kind of lame, cheesy escape pods the Prometheus had that just shoot out of the ship only to skip on the surface mere meters away from the ship and if the explanation is that they were designed to shoot out in space and float there in the hopes that someone will find you (that far away) then why did the captain gave Charlize the option to get into the pod, given that it was pretty obvious that they were going to crash way before they left the atmosphere of the moon.
But all in all, we liked it, there are very few movies I'd like to own, just so I can watch it again whenever I want, this is one of those; myself, I liked it that much.
Now, I'm reading theories and I read this one about the Anunaki legend of the Sumerians (I think was the Sumerians); my husband read all of Zechariah Sitchin books way back when, that explain the theory that the Anunaki that created the Earth were actually aliens and comparing the movie to the whole thing actually makes sense, which is kinda cool.
