HALE YEAH

Back in 2010, when I was concerned about how gay I was percieved, I overlooked Kate Miller-Heidke for being too mainstream and gay for me to listen to. So, I'm pleased to renege my previous thoughts and statements on her, because Little Eve is a really good album, and Kate Miller-Heidke's range and scope is just... super. Addictive pop with alternative twinges to it. I want to buy the new album, but... cash. More cash is required.

Crono
Crono can cross dimensions too!

John Mayer's new album "Born and Raised".  I knew it was going to be a mellow folk album going in and it's good for what it is but I still miss the days of "Continuum" and "Try".  Some pretty good tunes nonetheless.

Currently Playing: Dark Cloud 2: 3 hours.
Also Playing: CT, FF VI, Solatorobo, Secret of Mana, Halo 4.
Just Finished: Fable II: 7 hours.

HALE YEAH

Finally ended up getting Madonna's new album.

It's a billion times better than Hard Candy, but that isn't saying much. There's some classic cheesy pop (the two singles released from MDNA were definitely cheesy and, dare I say it, reductive) but the good songs are really good. I'm a Sinner is Ray of Light era goodness for the new era of pop, Gang Bang is dark and glossy, though the dubstep break is a little... odd. But the silky smoothness of a well processed voice is seductive and sexy. I'm really split on I'm Addicted because it starts off quite boring, but builds to something amazing. The last two tracks are something that Madonna hasn't really done in a while, and they're perfect cooldown tracks.

I like it. But then, I never tire of dancey pop. I don't give a fuck if something's reductive or not.

Also on play:
Tori Amos: Little Earthquakes, Boys for Pele (two of the awesome Tori Amos albums)
Little Boots: Hands (...she's alright? she's no Gaga, which was who she was being compared to when she first started getting focus)
Scissor Sisters: Ta-Dah! (GODDAMN I LOVE THIS GAY MUSIC)

Gay music. It's the best music.

Loved that song. Cool stuff.

Right now, listening to this self-admittedly overwrought albeit epic rendition of Colors of the Wind
