I'm still looking forward to a new Final Fantasy, I've put a ton of time into FFXI over the past year and would actually look forward to the Final Fantasy XIV relaunch on PlayStation3 just for the chance to try something new.
Not to mention Square clearly learned some lessons from FFXIII to FFXIII-2, which is clearly a better "game". It might not be exactly where I want the series to go thematically, but it at the very least showed they recognized the faults in the previous game and took them to heart (somewhat).
