Yeah, this was a shortened season (gee, how much have I used that to describe things I love this year :/) of 13 episodes to get the show to exactly 65 eps and thus syndication. It was a very cynical move on Hasbro's/The Hub's part. But good news is that there's going to be a 4th season and it will be a full 26 episodes.

Slowpoking my way through Season 2 still. I just got to see Twilight Sparkle do some not-so-subtle tactical espionage action, the next episode is titled "Dragon Quest."

Yes. But it was done really well. Only complaint I had is that the pacing seemed out of whack and it probably would've benefitted from being a two-parter.
