Strategy
Prepare for statuses before damage. Body Temp blanks both Mustard Bomb and Freeze, Clear Headed protects against the Confuse component of Curse, and Shadow-nullifying or Shadow-absorbing equipment is essential because every even Powering Sword sequence ends in Doomsday, which otherwise hits the party extremely hard while healing Hades. Powering Sword is a visible countdown: after it, Hades spends three turns counting down before releasing Curse on odd cycles or Doomsday on even cycles. Use those countdown turns to heal, refresh Auto-Life/Mighty Guard, or push damage aggressively. Slow works and should be applied early. Dispel Reflect when it interferes with Holy, Hades's elemental weakness. After Curse, Angel's Snack is an excellent mass cleanup if Quina is present.

Strategy
Ozma punishes normal ATB habits. When Ozma is idle, entering a command can immediately fill its ATB and let it act before your queued move; issue commands while Ozma is already performing an animation whenever possible, then let the menu sit instead of feeding it extra turns. Complete the Friendly Monsters quest first. That makes Ozma reachable by ordinary close-range attacks and changes Shadow from absorption to weakness, yet Ozma still casts Doomsday; with Shadow protection on the party, Doomsday can damage Ozma for 9,999 while healing or sparing your side. Pumice Pieces are excellent because they absorb Shadow and Holy. Clear Headed, Antibody, Auto-Life, and Auto-Regen reduce the impact of Curse and bad Meteor rolls, while Angel's Snack is a strong emergency reset. A useful AI manipulation is to bring a character whose level is divisible by 4 while making that character absorb Holy: Ozma adds LV4 Holy to its move pool and can spend turns healing that character. Avoid level multiples of 5 unless you deliberately want LV5 Death in the pool. Darkness can also bait Esuna for a wasted turn. The battle always retains some luck because Meteor can roll brutally, so save before entering the Air Garden and build the plan around surviving a bad opening rather than assuming perfect AI.

Strategy
Quale is a long endurance fight more than a puzzle. Water is absorbed, while Thunder is the elemental weakness, so do not feed it healing with Aqua Breath or other Water damage. Its spell list is built around nuisance statuses, Silence, Mini, Confuse, Darkness, Poison, so Clear Headed and Antibody are useful, and a character dedicated to Esuna/Remedy duty prevents several small problems from stacking. Aqua Breath cannot be reflected and Rolling Attack supplies the heavier direct damage, so keep group HP comfortably above the point where a status turn could turn into a KO. This is also the reward for the frog-catching milestone; there is no special instant-win gimmick, so reliable fixed-damage skills such as Frog Drop, Dragon's Crest, Thievery, or Shock are excellent ways to chew through the very large HP total.

Strategy
Tantarian's closed book has enormous defenses. Every point of damage dealt while closed advances an internal page counter; after a normal turn attack leaves that count between 150 and 200, the book opens and exposes the demon. Counterattacks can advance the count but cannot trigger the opening by themselves. Once open, stop using attacks that close the book. Its defenses collapse, it gains a Fire weakness, and its offense drops to little more than Poison; use magic and defense-ignoring skills during this window. Slow is useful, and the Tent trick can inflict Darkness while the book is closed. On the earlier Disc 2 opportunity, Steiner can exploit Minus Strike by entering with roughly 150-200 HP missing, allowing a single fixed-damage hit to place the page counter in the opening range. On the later encounter, plan the page count with controlled damage instead.
