The Final Battles

Bizarro-Sephiroth (Core)

Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.
, Northern Cave / Northern Crater
Northern Cave / Northern CraterFinal dungeon where Sephiroth waits at the Planet's wound.
Attacks
Bizarro Energy
Bizarro EnergyRestores HP on one or all allies.
Defenses
Immune to Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
The Core is the part that makes Bizarro-Sephiroth feel like a regeneration puzzle instead of a simple boss. Bizzarro Energy can undo progress, so destroy or suppress the Core before trying to finish the main body. Gravity will not help, making heavy neutral attacks, Limits, and strong summons the better answer. After the Core is down, use the opening to push the body hard before the fight re-stabilizes.

Bizarro-Sephiroth (Head)

Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.
, Northern Cave / Northern Crater
Northern Cave / Northern CraterFinal dungeon where Sephiroth waits at the Planet's wound.
Attacks
Demi3
Demi3Deals heavy Gravity damage equal to a large fraction of the target's current HP.
, Heartless Angel
Heartless AngelReduces all opponents' HP to 1.
Defenses
Immune to Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
The head is a low-HP support target, but leaving it alone can make the Bizarro formation feel messier than it needs to be. Use all-target attacks or spare physical turns to remove it while setting up Wall and Haste. Do not spend rare resources on this part unless it is blocking your rhythm; its value is in simplifying the field. Once it falls, refocus on the Core and main body rather than chasing every animation.

Bizarro-Sephiroth (Left Magic/Left Arm)

Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.

Attacks
Bolt3

, Ice3
Ice3Deals high Ice-elemental magic damage to one target.
, Sleepel

, Slow
SlowSlows one target's ATB gauge.
Defenses
Absorbs Ice and Lightning; Immune to Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
The left magic arm covers Bolt3, Ice3, Sleepel, and Slow, while also absorbing Ice and Lightning. Do not use all-target Ice or Bolt spells while this part is alive, and cure Sleep or Slow before they cascade into missed healing. Neutral damage and Limits remove it cleanly. Once the left side is quiet, the main body becomes much easier to pressure without elemental mistakes healing support parts.

Bizarro-Sephiroth (Main Body)

Level HP MP EXP AP Gil

Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.

Attacks
Sephiroth Shock
Sephiroth ShockInflicts physical damage on one opponent.
, Aurora Fence

, Stigma
StigmaInflicts magic damage, Poison, and Slow on all opponents.
, Heartless Angel

, Bizarro Energy
Bizarro EnergyRestores HP on one or all allies.
Defenses
Immune to Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
Bizarro-Sephiroth's main body is the actual kill target, but rushing it while the support parts are active invites a longer fight. Keep Big Guard or Wall active, heal immediately after Heartless Angel, and watch Stigma or status magic if your Ribbon coverage is incomplete. Clear or suppress the Core and arms when they are enabling recovery, then return all serious damage to the body. Multi-target attacks are useful for cleanup, but the finishing push should be focused.

Bizarro-Sephiroth (Right Magic/Right Arm)

Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.
, Northern Cave / Northern Crater
Northern Cave / Northern CraterFinal dungeon where Sephiroth waits at the Planet's wound.
Attacks
Fire3
Fire3Deals high Fire-elemental magic damage to one target.
, Quake3
Quake3Deals high Earth-elemental magic damage to one target.
, Demi3
Demi3Deals heavy Gravity damage equal to a large fraction of the target's current HP.
, Stop
StopTemporarily stops one target from acting.
Defenses
Absorbs Fire; Immune to Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
The right magic arm uses Fire3, Quake3, Demi3, and Stop, so it is the side most likely to disrupt a party that is relying on spell turns. Fire is absorbed and Gravity is blocked, making neutral damage the safest way to remove it. Stop protection or quick curing keeps the party from losing momentum. Kill this part when its magic is interfering, then return to the Core and body.

, Ultima
UltimaDeals extremely high non-elemental magic damage to all enemies.
Defenses
-
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
Jenova-SYNTHESIS is the gateway to Sephiroth, so treat it as a final-battle resource check rather than a place to conserve everything. The side parts can revive and support the body, but the body is what matters once your defenses are stable. Stop and Bio2 are the status threats to cover, while Cure3 can drag the fight if you leave the wrong parts alone too long. Push hard before Ultima becomes the closing punishment.

Jenova-SYNTHESIS B

Level HP MP EXP AP Gil
61 10,000 600 0 0 0
Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.
, Northern Cave / Northern Crater
Northern Cave / Northern CraterFinal dungeon where Sephiroth waits at the Planet's wound.
Attacks
Left Hand Revived
Left Hand RevivedRevives Jenova-SYNTHESIS B and restores part of its HP.
Defenses
Immune to Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
This side part exists to support Jenova-SYNTHESIS and should be removed when it starts extending the fight. Gravity does not work, so use direct damage or all-target attacks while maintaining Wall or Big Guard. Do not overcommit single-target resources if the main body is already low; the goal is to stop revival pressure, not to turn the arm into a separate boss. Once it falls, resume pressure on the body.

Jenova-SYNTHESIS C

Level HP MP EXP AP Gil
61 8,000 600 0 0 0
Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.
, Northern Cave / Northern Crater
Northern Cave / Northern CraterFinal dungeon where Sephiroth waits at the Planet's wound.
Attacks
Right Hand Revived
Right Hand RevivedRevives Jenova-SYNTHESIS C and restores part of its HP.
Defenses
Immune to Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
The other Jenova-SYNTHESIS side part follows the same support logic: kill it when its revival behavior is slowing the battle, otherwise keep damage on the body. Gravity immunity means Demi-style shortcuts are wasted. All-target damage is efficient if it clips the body at the same time. Keep the party ready for the final Ultima sequence and avoid spending the last turns cleaning up parts that no longer matter.

Safer-Sephiroth

Level HP MP EXP AP Gil
87 80,000 680 0 0 0
Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.

Northern Cave / Northern CraterFinal dungeon where Sephiroth waits at the Planet's wound.
Attacks
Wall
WallApplies both Barrier and MBarrier to one target.
, Shadow Flare
Shadow FlareDeals very high non-elemental damage to one target.
, Pale Horse
Pale HorseInflicts magic damage, Frog, Sadness, and Small on one opponent.
, Super Nova
Super NovaReduces all opponents' current HP by 15/16 and may inflict Confusion, Silence, and Slow.
, Break
BreakDeals Earth-elemental magic damage and may inflict Petrify.
, Heartless Angel
Heartless AngelReduces all opponents' HP to 1.
, DeSpell
DeSpellRemoves many positive magic effects from one target.
, Deen
DeenInflicts magic damage on all opponents.
Defenses
Immune to Earth and Gravity
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-
Morph Item
-
Dropped Item
-
Strategy
Safer-Sephiroth is a full-party endurance test with several forced recovery checks. Heartless Angel demands immediate healing, Pale Horse and Super Nova punish weak status coverage, and Shadow Flare can delete a careless target. Keep Wall or Big Guard active, use Megalixirs or full-party healing without hesitation, and answer DeSpell by rebuffing only what you actually need. When his HP drops, commit Limits, Knights of the Round, Mime chains, or your strongest setup and finish before another cycle resets momentum.

Location
Planet's Core
Planet's CoreFinal battle area deep inside the Northern Cave.
, Northern Cave / Northern Crater
Northern Cave / Northern CraterFinal dungeon where Sephiroth waits at the Planet's wound.
Attacks
Cut
CutInflicts damage equal to 96.875% of the target's current HP.
Defenses
-
Weaknesses
-
Steal Item
-

Strategy
The final Sephiroth duel is cinematic rather than a conventional boss fight. Cloud only needs to answer the moment, and Omnislash ends the encounter if it is available. There is no reason to spend items or consider elemental setup here. Treat it as the story's final command prompt after the real mechanical fight has already been won against Safer-Sephiroth.
