Underwater World
Overview
The Underwater World becomes available after the party acquires a Shinra submarine. It is a separate navigation layer containing seabed terrain, trenches, wreckage, emerald-colored Weapon encounters, and several important destinations. The submarine can surface at suitable locations and is used to search for the Huge Materia, the Sunken Gelnika, and the Key to the Ancients. Movement is slower and visibility is more restricted than on the normal world map. Emerald Weapon patrols the area and can be encountered unintentionally.
