Gongaga
Overview
Gongaga is a small jungle town built near the ruins of a reactor that exploded years earlier. The residents live among dense vegetation, wooden homes, and the lingering consequences of Shinra's failed project. The town is optional during the first approach and contains important scenes involving Zack's parents, Cloud, Aeris, and Tifa. Shops, items, materia, and character dialogue make a visit worthwhile even when the main story does not require it. The surrounding region remains accessible throughout the game.
