Mako Reactor 5
Overview
Mako Reactor 5 is a larger and more heavily defended industrial complex than the first reactor. Its interior reuses Shinra's standardized reactor architecture, but includes longer access routes, synchronized control panels, and more dangerous security forces. The mission ends in a prepared Shinra ambush and the Air Buster battle, making the reactor a turning point where AVALANCHE realizes it is being manipulated. Cloud's fall from the reactor leads directly to the Sector 5 Church. The area is permanently inaccessible after the story sequence.
