Costa del Sol
Overview
Costa del Sol is a bright resort town on the western coast, deliberately contrasting with Midgar and Junon's industrial environments. The beach, villa, inn, shops, bar, and harbor create a relaxed atmosphere, although Shinra personnel and traveling characters still appear. The town offers equipment, items, and optional dialogue, and Cloud can later purchase President Shinra's villa. Costa del Sol remains accessible throughout most of the game and serves as the western port for ship travel. Its calm presentation makes it a recurring rest stop between major story events.
