Horizon Bridge
Overview
Horizon Bridge is the enormous abandoned railway extending eastward from Fishermans Horizon toward Esthar. The party cannot use it as an ordinary transportation route, but Squall crosses a long section on foot while carrying Rinoa, creating one of the game's most subdued and character-focused sequences. The bridge emphasizes the physical distance and isolation between the western nations and hidden Esthar. There are no normal battles, shops, or branching paths during the crossing; its importance comes from atmosphere, dialogue, and the gradual reveal of the eastern continent. The structure also visually connects FH's railway architecture with Esthar's former relationship to the outside world.
