Lunar Gate
Overview
Lunar Gate is Esthar's launch facility for sending passengers to the Lunar Base. Its clean interior, capsule system, control staff, and launch chamber reinforce Esthar's advanced aerospace technology. The party divides here: Squall accompanies Rinoa into space while the remaining members stay behind and respond to the Lunatic Pandora crisis. The location is strongly story-driven and contains little optional exploration, combat, or shopping. Its role is primarily transitional, connecting the terrestrial Esthar storyline to the orbital Lunar Base and establishing the limited capacity and risk of the launch process.
