Balamb Crater
Overview
Balamb Crater is the empty site left behind after Balamb Garden becomes mobile. Following the defeat of UFO?, PuPu appears in this area as the final stage of the alien sidequest. The encounter is nontraditional: giving PuPu five Elixirs awards the unique PuPu Card, while attacking or devouring him produces different rewards and permanently ends the opportunity to obtain the card through the quest. The crater otherwise has no interior area, shop, or ordinary story sequence. Its use as the final UFO location turns an early-game landmark into a small late-game secret.
