Balamb Garden
Overview
Balamb Garden is both the party's home base and one of the game's most important recurring locations. Its clean, institutional public areas contrast with the more dangerous Training Center and the buried machinery of the MD Level, giving the Garden the feeling of a complete self-contained community rather than a simple school. Expect frequent returns as the story develops, with new dialogue, optional card players, shops, dormitory access, classroom terminals, and side events becoming available at different times. The Garden later becomes mobile, changing its role from a fixed academy into the party's primary means of world travel. Several one-time scenes and character interactions occur here, so revisiting major rooms after story events can reveal additional context.
