Timber Forest
Overview
Timber Forest appears during the first Laguna dream sequence and introduces Laguna, Kiros, and Ward as a separate playable party. The route is a wooded military patrol area outside Deling City, with narrow paths, random encounters, and dialogue that establishes the trio's personalities and their casual relationship with danger. The sequence is brief and largely linear, but it demonstrates how the main party's junctions and Guardian Forces transfer to Laguna's group. Because the area is dream-only, it cannot be revisited independently, and its importance comes from character development, early Galbadian military context, and the first hints that Squall's group is experiencing events from the past.
