Cactuar Island
Overview
Cactuar Island is a small desert island dominated by Cactuar encounters and the roaming Jumbo Cactuar. Ordinary Cactuars award unusually high AP while providing very little experience, making the island one of the best places to learn Guardian Force abilities without rapidly increasing character levels. Their extremely high evasion and tendency to flee can make efficient farming difficult without accurate attacks or suitable junctions. Jumbo Cactuar appears visibly on the world map and awards the Cactuar Guardian Force when defeated. The island is easiest to access with the Ragnarok and contains no town, interior map, or conventional treasure chests.
