Time-Compressed World
Overview
The Time-Compressed World is a distorted version of the planet reached after Adel's defeat and the succession of sorceress battles. Normal chronology has collapsed, town entrances are sealed, and the world functions primarily as a route to Ultimecia's era rather than as a fully interactive version of earlier regions. Portals near the chain to Ultimecia's Castle allow limited return to the world map, and the Ragnarok can be recovered through an indirect route involving chocobo travel. Shopping is largely restricted to menu abilities and characters aboard the recovered ship. The altered world signals that most ordinary side content should be completed before entering the final sequence.
